Seizing the opportunity to enhance the quality of patients’ lives, Dr. Jorge L. Orbay, a premier orthopedic hand surgeon, started Hand Innovations LLC in 2001. Based at The Miami Hand Center, Dr. Orbay had a unique vantage point from which to develop revolutionary implant systems and techniques that would improve patient outcomes. The Center had a team of orthopedic, plastic and vascular surgeons who worked collaboratively. And, with its on-site operating, radiology, and rehabilitation facilities, each team could follow patients from pre-surgery evaluation through rehabilitation.
